Third Day wants you to “Move” with this record, and it is pretty awesome. They want you to “Lift Up Your Face” with the first song; it sounds epic with the choir beginning and the synergy of the drums and guitar especially with the choir and moog at the end that sounds reinterpreted from a song where I Dream On. They ask if you’re ready to “Make Your Move” before Mac Powell Changes his mind with southern-fried funk number that reminds me a little of Wolfmother’s Cosmic Egg. To all of the “Children of God,” this song is for you. It has a nice children’s choir that end the song on a note singing “We are the saints/We are the children/We’ve been redeemed/We’ve been forgiven/We are the sons and the daughters of our God.” The next song asks if you are going to “Surrender” to the handclap inclusion this string solo this side of Led Zeppelin and this valley-sized sound. The song reminds me of one of when I Got You. Who can you trust? For those that do not believe, you may not want to, but you can “Trust In Jesus.” Need a place where you can find some shelter? “Follow Me There” Where love, like a river, flows/Peace like you've never known/And joy never ending lives/A place where faith can find/Hope that will never die/Follow me there, come on, follow me there.” It has this boppin’ beat and positive message, which make this song a great one and the last forty five seconds heavy on choral vocals. One more minute and I’m “Gone like the wind and I'm not sure/When I'm coming back, will you want more/God only knows where I am going/And just what tomorrow brings.” A great song that can seem like…why don’t you listen to some of these songs “What Have You Got To Lose?” which has a positive message, strings and an uplifting, genuine sound that inspires you to just try something. The former just keeps on moving with some harpischord, and a bluesy/gospel sound, as well as a hamonic-s solo! “I’ll Be Your Miracle,” if only you will let me have a chance. This track picks up the pace and the tempo; the latter track was kind of depressing in sound even when the message wasn't.“Everywhere You Go” is an even more upbeat song with some great guitars and drums about living and loving like the lord. The “Sound of Your Voice” has some beautiful female vocals and strings. The final song urges us to “Don’t Give Up Hope,” even as this world gets crazier and the world spins out of control; Just when you thought it was over, the second half brings it back even more. If I could move in seven different directions I would run towards: Lift Up Your Face, Make Your Move, Surrender, Follow Me There, Gone, What Have You Got To Lose, and Everywhere You Go.
