"All Of This" is a nice stadium rocker that takes a Valkyrie Missle, and directs it toward your memory with great vocals, guitar, and beat. The next song has nice vocals from Alissa, and has a nice hook, while the beat is kind of loud and slightly obnoxious, it sounds like "Punching In A Dream."I feel that I am "Frayed" at the seems Alisa's vocals are at the forefront on this track with that bass under the noise."The Source" is a nice short piano instrumental that leads to the blinding audio quality of "The Sun."The latter quietly starts on piano before making way for those slightly raspy whispered vocals and tsh-tsh-tsh-tsh/tip-tip-tip. All "Eyes" are on me as I struggle to define the alluring qualities of this song.I am an idiot, and cannot really describe it actively."Young Blood" has this nice soft guitar and a poppy hook with the delivery of Alissa's vocals remind me of Michael Angelakos. There is "No Way" I will listen to what you say,I will not hear it "I'm not sad, really/All this means, losing/Letting go, oo-oo/Dont look out, oo-oo/No way, no way, no way." The sound is very atmospheric and driving, a song U2 might have written earlier in their career, or a track AVA might write. Please don't "Spank" the "Jilted Lovers" which are upon us with this noise heavy track. I probably was a little jilted when i wrote this,eh? The former is a powerful track that seems like a song dealing with an affliction of carnal lust that an older brother has for his sister; it is disturbing and disheartening to read the lyrics "I am just a child/I am nothing more/There are no basic functions/I am running for/I could run a mile/My distortion/ Everything is/ Disproportioned." The percussion does not hurt as much as a slap on the fanny, but really works with the vocals and the rest of the instrumentals. The next song starts off kinda metallic with that pounding and that ringing riff you can be afraid, but beware, just because they may look like a nerd, they can be "A Wolf in Geek's Clothing." It is time for "The Ends" to break in the final short song before the biting finale. "Girls Like You" make me bitter about those girls that everyone talks about, the ones that are super hot, know they're hot, treat everyone like crud and give the hot girls that care about more than themselves an umbrella stereotype. It has a lot of powerful questions, but I think these ring loudest: "What would you do if you lost your beauty?/How would you deal with the light?/ How would you feel if nobody chased you? /What if it happened tonight?." There are some nice vocals between Alisa Xaylith and Thom Powers. I would try these while jumping off a cliff naked: All of This, Punching in a Dream,Young Blood, Spank, Jilted Lovers, A Wolf in Geek's Clothing, and Girls Like You.
