Adele "21"

One of the biggest songs of this past year was "Rolling in the Deep" of accolades for the track and record giving Adele much more recognition because of this sincere tale of heartbreak. "Baby, I have no story to be told/But I've heard one of you and I'm gonna make your head burn/Think of me in the depths of your despair
Making a home down there as mine sure won't be shared/The scars of your love remind you of us/They keep me thinking that we almost had it all." I guess "Rumour Has it" that this song is about her lover who went to someone half his age, yet still misses her, and reveals they go out when his new girl isn't around, and that it has this addictive rhythm section and this string and piano breakdown starting at two minutes as she tells him "All of these words whispered in my ear/Tell a story that I cannot bear to hear /Just 'cause I said it, it don't mean I meant it/People say crazy things/Just 'cause I said it, don't that mean I meant it/Just 'cause you heard it." I think these "Turning Tables" are making me dizzy or maybe it's just these vocals and harmonies, string flourishes, that has me caught in a tizzy. "Don't You Remember" the reason you checked this out? Neither do I, well this song is a direct question to her lover "Don't you remember /The reason you loved me before?" I'm not saying it's a bad song, I'm just saying I cannot remember.Let's "Set Fire To The Rain"with this soulful, passionate track of resentment where Adele had been drowning in her affection to realize that this affection she was drowning in was deceit that revealed a whole different side of her lover."He Won't Go" has this nice rhythm section and drum hiccup while singing "But I won't go /I can't do it on my own /If this ain't love, then what is?/I'm willing to take the risk," and of course the rest is top notch too. Just "Take it All" in as you listen to a more soulful track with a touch of gospel choir and piano as she says "I'll Be Waiting"  is a nice piano and horn number that will have me entering the track on an REO Speedwagon and recalls when Adele went through troubled waters that her lover pushed her in, but now says she will be waiting for when that someone is ready to give her a second chance. The "One and Only" Cure have their own "Lovesong"  become an airy, stringy, and mellow down-tempo track. If I had to "Someone Like You" to dedicate this song to it would be to a couple people I know. This song is about that past love who has moved on, gotten married, but Adele still loves him and decided to drop by for a visit just to see him one more time, and tells him she's not bitter but that she will find someone like him eventually. This is real emotion, and real heart, the vocals are great for this song.IF I had to choose only 6Songs besides "Rolling in the Deep" I would Choose: Rumour Has It, Turning Tables, Set Fire to the Rain, He Won't Go, Lovesong, and Someone Like You.
