"Don't Give Up On Me Now" we are getting closer to the goal, or if you have been reading,, why not continue? I cannot deny that I definately hear Tom Petty in his vocals if not the instrumentals in this song as well; He also sounds like Caleb Followill. The beginning is really nice and has his soulful vocals and then the instrumentation is a huge wall of sound and noise that starts around 2:48 under screeching guitar that ends before he sings "I will not be broken/I won't be turned away/When it's too cold to breathe/and too dark to pray" on "I Will Not Be Broken." Hear the news? He's footing the bill! "Rock N' Roll Is Free," choose the price you want to pay (If it's worth it) Is he condoning downloading free music? It is a nice rocking song, and I like this verse "The masters of convention/Count on you to never change/But the law of reinvention/Knows nothing stays the same." The next song "Feel Love"is a nice acoustic rocker with subtle strings. I may "Clearly Severely" bang my head to this song with a quick pace and loud rock guitars and punky catchy hook with a nice solo at around 2:00, and gang vocals singing "There is no more breath left for words/They have all been spoken for/All we say just shatters to the ground,"and then a fantastic last minute and a half. Ok, "Things are looking up today/I didn't have to look away/There's so much to be said for letting go/So much tomorrow only knows" I Have to make sure I don't fill the cup to much because if I run to him I will be "Spilling Faith." "Get There From Here" is a nice instrumental with a piano who can march the RN'R attitude of any guitar, and cymbal/hihat heavy percussion which is manned by Ringo Starr (Who also plays in the previous song as well).Everyone hold your hands, and "Pray That Our Love Sees The Dawn" which is a nice string number and features Jackson Browne. You know who else he reminds me of? Dan Auerbach!! I think I meant to say that earlier but this song just sounded the most like him so that's what I'm going to say as I am "Waiting For A Sign" which is a nice soulful funk/garage rocker with a good solo. "Dirty Lover" is a nice groove rocker with this catchy hook, and a trampoline beat that "Do it For You, Do It For Us" which has a latin-funk groove, addictive beat, metallic tendencies, and a solo that may rival Santana. If I had to give my love to 7 songs I would give it to: Don't Give Up on Me, I Will Not Be Broken, Rock N' Roll is Free, Clearly Severely,Get There From Here, Waiting For a Sign, and Do it For You, Do It For Us.
