Get ready for this Funky "T.O.R.N.A.D.O" with the awesome beat, horns, and the moves of the Ninja which reminds me of the Beasties. Everybody, ok? Yep, This "Secretary Song" has some nice triangle, synth, and beat; it's so indie rock it's not funny. After the "Apollo Throwdown" I feel like a Sleepyhead after listening to those lovely harmonies and the hypnotizing voice. What did you say? You're "Ready To Go Steady?" It's only the second date, and my feelings take longer than that to emerge: I already like you, but not sure about going steady. "It's not like we're getting married" you're right. "Bust Out The Brigade" sounds like perfect credit music after this big epic tale of redemption, or maybe it is a song that would work perfect for an introduction sequence. "Buy Nothing Day" is an indie rock song telling you to download indie music, and that the reason it is indie is because it's not worth being on a major label, or the money. How many people will believe that? "Super Triangle" is facing that deceptive synth that thinks it's cute and sweet in this instrumental. "Voice Yr Choice" has some great stars dropped by the ninja, along with these catchy melodies and horns "I have no brain I'm going down/I guess some heads were made for crowns/Bad to the bone yeah bad in the gang/You hold me to tampa trying to play my thing." The next track is called "Yosemite Theme," and it has nice harmonica, and great percussion, horns; now what movie would work with this? Maybe a children's animated movie, not sure, still trying to figure it out. "The Running Range" just sounds like almost every other song they have: Awesome! Some nice recorder, and perfectly paced tempo; a good song to run to Maybe a little Soul Man can run with you (Don't know why it makes me think of that song though). This "Lazy Poltergeist" just wants to listen to that beautiful piano all day, and skip trying to reach his quota of scaring 1000 by the end of the year in this Instrumental. There are "Rolling Blackouts" all through my brain as i try to describe this song, It's just that being tired... ........................................ ................ ................................... .............................................................Ok! I'm "Back Like 8-Track" which has nice glocknhorns and that trombone too, I do like this verse "Wiretap the track that you bunny hop/Double team the scene but you never stop/Faking and Isay it plain/Counterclaims coming at us like a bullet train/Don't get no pay for the records i play /Drop the rock at the hop and have a nice day." The latter has me think of soemthing that the Silversun Pickups may write, the vocals sort of sound likeThis record is really good, but if I was only able to prevent blackouts for six songs I would choose: T.O.R.N.A.D.O., Apollo Throwdown, Buy Nothing Day, Bust Out The Brigade, Yosemite Theme, Back Like 8 Track.
