Glee Cast "Glee: The Music presents the Warblers"

Glee has always been a show that focuses on the music, no duh,and makes renditions and mash-ups of popular songs now and then. This disc focuses on most of the males in the show, as they are part of a group called the warblers. It was interesting how they would appear in my "Teenage Dream"considering the song was from a female's perspective, but they handled  the notes well. It's not completely acapella because they have instrumental touches, but this is one of my favorites, as it starts with a lower note, which sounds nice and as they backing vocals provide a wonderful bop-bop-bop harmony. "Hey, Soul Sister" it's time to pay my "Bills, Bills, Bills" which do not have as much resentment in them, but have nice harmonies. Why does the world keep singing "Silly Love Songs" so much? Because thes songs make you feel so happy, and sometimes capture the giddiness one feels when seeing their crush or significant other. The harmonies in this one are just spectacular and "When I Get You Alone" replaces the catchy horn with a higher vocal substitution and the guitar with their skatting and cute harmonies. Darren Criss manages to bring the same amount of Soul that Robin Thicke had done when singing this song, which is what it needs. You are such an  "Animal" Darren Criss, and Chris Colfer who share lead vocals on this track sounds nice with their vocal interplay and some higher notes to be sung. Budda-dudda-dudda-duh-duh, budda-dudda-dudda-duh-duh, I love how they play with their "Misery," and their wonderful treatment of this tune. Ok, if you're going to cover a song by the Beatles it has to be good, or else you would be chewed up by every fan and critic alike, so how is "Blackbird?" Chris Colfer sings lead vocals on this one, and his voice is a nice change. It does not sound as strong as Criss' but seems to sound more agreeable with this arrangement then Darren's would. Lighting "Candles" can be a tricky affair, and again Colfer sings lead on this one, but this time he sounds more confident and  sounds better on this track than the previous. It's not that he has a bad voice, he has a beautiful voice, it is just that you kind of picture the vocals to be a little different. It's time to "Raise Your Glass" everyone with a more uptempo number, and anthem to those dirty little freaks and outsiders. I would have to say this next track is my favorite, or one of them. Let's go "Somwhere Only We Know," and just enjoy those harmonies in this spectacular rendition of a 2005 piano rock hit; this track has gotta be one of my absolute favorites!!! "What Kind of Fool" do you think I am? Which is much more somber, and laid back, sorrowful, and then makes the next track a little off putting with the Bass heavy funky doo-wop of the final track."Do You Think I'm Sexy?" HA!!! Why bother asking when you know the answer you ugly dork!? If I had to choose my favorite warblers I would choose: Teenage Dream, Hey Soul Sister, When I Get You Alone, Misery, Raise Your Glass, Somewhere Only We Know, Do You Think I'm Sexy?
