Hugh Laurie "Let Them Talk"

The piano starts it off nicely and then goes into a deeper bombastic piano passage and gives way to a Bo Diddley beat and some trumpet and trombone and piano on a jazzy ending."You Don't Know My Mind" with a funky vocal delivery and some nice backup vocals on a head bopping beat with some subtle horns and bass that reveals the concept of the self on the inside and the self you project. He does not want to let her know how it hurts, so he laughs; which is a typical response when it comes to a scenario such as this. "Baby you don't know, you don't know my mind/When you see me laughing, I'm laughing just to keep from crying." There are three people in this room with "Six Cold Feet." The other six feet are ready to rock the horns, guitar, piano, and drums and vocals. "Buddy Bolden's Blues" has some nice saxophone and horns telling us to let that bad air out. "Battle of Jericho" has some nice strings and horns and "After You've Gone" you will see that you may seem fine now, but you will have an epiphany to help you see that you had  made a big mistake. DR. John also appears in this song alongsie Laurie's distinctive vocals.. The "Swannee River" is a real nice trip to take with that old school boppin-blues,jazzy piano, subtle strings, and prominent beat. I forgot to be careful because the "Whale Swallowed Me Whole." Is this whale's name Misery? "John Henry" is not just a member of american folklore as the man who raced a steam engine and won, but a nice duet that features Irma Thomas. I got caught by the "Police Dog Blues" with a dog named rambler who would either cause people to pee in fear or something else.I'ts a pain when you cannot get someone off your mind. The trip to "Tipitina" is a song that would make New Orleans proud, and sounds really great with those horns, drums, bass piano, and guitar. "They're Red Hot" those tamales can burn your mouth and quicken delivery in hopes that more air passes through as you slightly speed your delivery, the beat is nice too, and it's red hot everyone got them for sale. "Baby Please Make A Change" has Irma Thomas and Sir Tom Jones in this track and starts slow, but then starts to gradually pick up after 3:38, and it sounds really nice. "Let Them Talk" because they don't know me, they can assume all they want, but they don't know me, and they can say what they want about my style, but I already know it stinks, and as for the record it does not. This is a song about ignoring what the haters say and those who believe he is wrong for a certain someone. If I had to choose 7 things to say they would be: St John Infirmary Blues, You Don't Know My Mind, Six Cold Feet, Battle of Jericho,Tipitina, They're Red Hot, and Baby Make A Change.
