St. Vincent "Actor"

"The Strangers" like to add insult to injury after they offend Ms. Clark I guess, because she coaxes them to paint the black hole blacker, but then we could not see a wonderful song unfolding before our eyes. Wait, I just got sucked in. You can save me from despair, save me from destruction, save me from self-loathing, but why the he(( would I want you to "Save Me From What I Want?!" This dance beat and background instrumentals reconsider my objection., and what about the lyrics? "These kids are foaming at the mouth/Psychotropic capricorns/ Tomorrow's some kind of strangerland/Where all the news is good." Yeah, that would be strange. What would the distortion say? what would the beat do? What would "The Neighbors" think? "Actor Out Of Work." I beg to differ, this actor should keep her day job because the punk stomp with strings and distortion make for intrigue. Most everybody likes rainbows right? They are so colorful, beautiful, and magical, but what about a "Black Rainbow?" Say What? What's with this t-talk of string building up anticipation until the end of the song? How can one "Laugh With a Mouth of Blood?" First, Wouldn't it be hard to do so without choking and swallowing that fluid with a bitter taste? Wouldn't you be crying, or more inclined to do so with a mouth of blood? Unless it hurts that bad. Oh how much it hurts when a friend stabs one in the back. "Marrow" is a great track to listen to with it's funk n distortion working alongside to beat the drums, before the beat has you dancing first, and the horns just fall in second. "The Bed" has atmospherics, dissonance, screechy violin, and low piano thumps which all together sound eerie as the father and child sleep under the bed to scare the monsters away. Are you too tired to go to "The Party?" You do not have to dance, the low notes on piano are there to help you think it's just "The Same But Brand New," and that passage that starts after three minutes until 3:54 is nice, but requires a break to keep that organ running till five. "The Sequel" is one of the hardest types of movies to make, especially if the original was different and really popular because it is much easier to start from scratch most of the time. Oh, and it may be even more difficult to make a sequel song, but most don't think of those because sequels in movies are much more common. IfIHadTo Choose7Songs IWould Choose: Save Me From What I Want, The Neighbors, Actor Out of Work, Black Rainbow, Marrow, The Bed, and The Same But Brand New.
