Needtobreathe "The Outsiders"

The title track is an anthem for those who feel laughed at, stomped on, and shunned for being different which has a banjo strumming with a rock attitude, and a great beat, ohhh there is the harmonica at about 2:20. A song such as this just feels empowering, espescially if you feel like one. Then it has a nice last minute finish. The "Valley of Tommorrow" sounds atmospheric with its strings and guitar strums and big beat, group vocals ssinging "Ohhhh, This is the way I want to go down/ (this is the last time) I'm starting over with you/..." as it ends with the marching band beat. that piano in the background and the echo riding the drum give it that large sound, strings help open the sky too; the harmonica and that sound made when strumming quick on an acoustic helps us see through it too. "Lay 'Em Down" has those soulful vocals that will bring others from sin into the glory of the Good. As they are a christian band they are singing of the glory of you know who, but for anybody that does not believe I will not mention him by name. You don't know "What You've Done To Me," and neither do I. If I cannot notice anything too easily, it must not be too bad, or at least I hope not. A "Hurricane" can be very unforgiving, relentless, and destructive, but the guitar riff and hook of this song lifted by strings and guitar grrove make this one Hurricane Casper. The group vocals sound so distant, and the organ, with the distorted guitar make this sound so great. "These Hard Times"can make us very needy: in need of an answer, a way out, faith, something vicious, but love and peace to end the wars, something sacred, and worth fighting for. "Stones Rushing Under Water" has that country twang with that heartfelt harmonica playing  and all those things that have changed, or been forgotten, but were good things and now they are missed. This funky piano and it's hipin-hoppin beat has me feeling like a "Prisoner," but Reinhart's delivery sounds as if he is trying to sing with rap's delivery. The funky banjo lead "Won't Turn Back" has us riding the horse with a littleone two step, but the horse needs some practice. I held on as hard as i could but i fell off andhe almost stepped on mey head! "Girl Named Tennessee" has an ooh oooh hook and a whistle line with that jive piano. "And the water is risin' quick/And for years I was scared of it/We can't be sure when it will subside/So I won't leave your side, no I can't leave your side/Hey now, this is my desire/Consume me like a fire, 'cause I just want something beautiful/To touch me, I know that I'm in reach/'Cause I am down on my knees, I'm waiting for something beautiful/Oh, something beautiful" are some of the lyrics spitting truth; that all of us just want something beautiful, either to help us feel better about ourselves, or something to give us the strength to keep living. The string-laden intro that lead me to the "Garden" had them sing of the connection between the writers of this music and lovers of it, and hoping that the note they choose will be one of their fans favorite tune. We only request this, just "Let Us Love." Some hearts have enough love for more people than a group of 100 hearts could hold. This great handclap singalong asks to "let us love/ like we were children/Make us feel/ like we're still living/ In a world that's burning to the ground/Give us time/ to beat the system/Make us find/What we've been missing.." 7 songs worthy of getting that required oxygen: The OUTSIDERS, Valley of Tommorrow, Lay 'Em Down, Hurricane, Stones Rushing Under Water, PRISONER, and Won't Turn Back.
