"All Secrets Known" has this slow groove, and beat which sounds epic, followed by a great solo at the end. Somebody "Check My Brain" because I have problems, but not sure what they are, or how many I have with it's catchy grunge-style singalong chorus and steady beat. I guess this girl likes his brain! Is she a zombie? Not many people are often attracted to someone simply for their brains,so that's where the crack came from. I feel I may be the "Last of My Kind," everybody can celebrate now! This song is killer with it's atmospheric production and lyrics that want to break all the lies spread feeding the fires of the liars, and the buildings of stagnancy that refuse to try solutions that will improve or help. But it's "Your Decision" to believe me or not. which is a lighter, cleaner, song with nice vocals. "A Looking In View" features someone outside the door "Hiding in a darkness under/ Boiling to the surface something/Crawling on your skin, discomfort/Makes you break and run, stumble, fall" with it's slow beat and gang vocals that make it sound much more atmospheric with that guitarndistortion commanding attention. "When the Sun Rose Again" it gaves us a nice burst of sunshine and a more positive view, but this darn "Acid Bubble" just covered the sun again. The lyrics address a betrayal, and the subject surprised to see him still alive, with all flaws intact, and that stain that remains. It has this great recurring riff that finishes the song as well leads a solo during the song. Let it be a "Lesson Learned" to make sure you pick your firends carefully because they may stab you in the back, If you must to be so paranoid, get a background check! "Take Her Out" has this nice groove, but treading the lyrics it has me thinking he is talking of a stripper because he says that "Faceless,blind/Want to take her out again/She's Not Just Mine..." and "In a bodiless embrace/ Thriving, I have grown/ Fickle, changing, grip replaced". With a song entitled "Private H*ll" it has got to be pretty depressing, and it is but the song is nice. The Title track features Sir Elton on Piano, aand is a tribute to Layne Staley, a wonderful way to end the record with great instrumentals and heartfelt vocals/lyrics. IF I had to choose 6 Songs they would be: All Secrets Known, Last of My Kind, A Looking In View, Acid Bubble, Private H*ll, and Black Gives Way To Blue.
