Future of The Left "Travels With Myself and Another"

"Arming Eritrea" sounds lika a dance-core song with raspy screaming vocals that has a beat you can dance to leading to an indiepunk guitar in the middle and ending with that same angry shouty vocal delivery. "Chin Music" is another moshpit-dancy song with those dang vocals again caterwaulin' and this horrid scream at the end. Oh, what would the neighbors think hearing this played at the volume that it should be played at. "The Hope That House Built" has them finally singing ; an irish drinking song with punk attitude? What makes "Throwing Bricks at Trains" a good idea? Maybe all that drinking from last song. How does it feel/To make it on your own?/To prey upon your strengths/But leave it where it falls/How does it feel to listen to this song/To wrap your mind around it/To let your senses down/Yeah!/I am civil service!(X2)" the title of the next song is the final verse. With this angry growl that he seems to like; does he get bored? Let's just stop right there I mean the "Land of My Formers" starts with this surf-punk beat and just has you screaming along with the chorus and thinking that the formers, or fellow combatants, are "Not much of a tragedy/They only get under your skin if you let them." "You Need Satan More Than He Needs You" is a dark hip-hop flavored track that has this buzzing bass key and the scream-rap in the delivery asks"What kind of orgy leaves a sense of deeper love?" and contrasts man and HIM. "That Damned Fly" won't leave me alone! It always manages to be right there when I open the door! It has this punky guitar riff in the forefront and low bass in back. Just "Touch his skin, he feels like a man./Touch his skin, he feels like a man/That fly, that damned fly/Makes me sick, leaves me compromised." The next song, Stand By Your Mantee, reminds me of "Blister in The Sun" by the Violent Femmes, but angier."Yin /Post-Yin" I still feel the same way, and  do not want to "Drink Nike" which has this percussive start and funky bass hiding behind some distortion and other noise of the buzzing guitar. The song starts off with a monologue, and then has a loud riff-light strumming- loud riff- and then the song takes flight from there with it's driving beat and guitar riff in loop at the thirty second before song over mark there is a key note and then all there is the sturm of a guitar imitating the timed accuracy of a satellite. Oh "Lapsed Catholics," you understand your vices, but not your faults, and that's why this band calls you the worst. If I Had travels with myself and seven songs I would choose these: Arming Etitrea, Chin Music, The House That Hope Built, Land of My Formers, You Need Satan More Than He NeedsYou, Stand By Your Manatee, and Drink Nike.
