The Aggrolites "Rugged Road"

The high pitch in the vocals are interesting because most reggae that I have heard before usually is not accompanied by notes that high “at times you may have your doubts…/You'll find a way to work things out” through “Trial and Error.” So you didn’t like how the high notes sounded with reggae rhythyms, and felt it was a failure, so you decided to label it as an error? Wait, this is just a harpischord lead instrumental that has earned the “Enemy Dub.” We follow one instrumental with another that has me “Dreamin on Erie,” but not Lake Erie because these sunny riffs and backyard bass are too hot for the lake to have any effect on the prospect of snow; and two days it did so. I’m beginning to think that only the first track had vocals because we are dealt another hand, but this one is blessed with the “Eye of Obarbas.” So try and put your best game face on, and see if you can avoid even the tiniest of smiles listening to this. No matter where they travel to and no matter what they do “The Aggro Band Plays On” whether it is P-Funk Party on Le Reunion Isle, sounds like a good time, so stay awhile. “Spain, Switzerland, Netherlands, and Germany /Czech republic, France, Greece, and Italy” been around the world? Sounds like it to me. I do like the soulful delivery of the vocals on this track as well, and the party camaraderie the boys have with each other. They somehow have me picturing someone taking a ride in the desert as they listen to “Camel Rock.” The pace seems like it is a little bit quicker than previous tracks; I like that rhythm, and is there cowbell? More instrumentals for the musing of the introspective and critical mind, a better song “In The Cut” I doubt you will find. I can’t take “The Heat,” so I will stay out of the kitchen; I’m done. You can roast my skills if you want, but it would be too late. We all want more time, either to live, or just enjoy life, and it does not take someone brilliant to find what a “Complicated Girl” has in mind, and no, clean your brain please that was not what I meant. My Favorites: Trial and Error, Eye of Obarbas, The Aggro Band Plays On, Camel Rock, and In The Cut.
