Belanova "Sueno Electro"

Not that anybody reads these anyways, but this time we’ll do it different. This is the first time I have heard of Belanova. They have some very cute pop songs you can dance too. The first track is "Solo Para Mi." It reminds me when Shakira was a Shewolf, but the song is so much sweeter; absolute ear candy.  This next song may have been written for the future singing don’t go breakin’ my heart in the back of her mind, but the girl is a “Chica Robot” so she doesn’t have to worry; do robots have hearts? “Nada De Mas.” Enough said, but it is good. Maybe robots do have hearts. The sentiment in “Nio Me Voy A Morir” crosses the language barrier without problem. At first it sounds like the accompaniment should be more down-tempo, but the song is about moving on and resisting the depression.  “Y Mi Corazon” is even happier, and feels even more upbeat than the previous after listening to this song. “Pow Pow” is an example of how powerful a melody can be in disguising real dark lyrics; not there is anything too explicit. I do like the trumpet and the audible guitar spurt toward the second half of the song. “Tic Toc” is the sound a clock makes as time passes one by, as they “live” their life. The chorus says it best, but this song would probably have to be the one I would not mind wasting my time listening to.  “Hoy Desperte.” Yo soy un tonto, pero sólo porque no puedo describir la apelación de esta canción. Maybe "Necio" has none. "Tu Y Yo" is how a song about two lovers should sound, no dance-pop nonsense; a sound as stripped as the lovers in an embrace. What? Favorites: Solo Para Mi, Chica Robot, Y Mi Corazon, Pow Pow, and Tic Toc.
