"Molalatdi" has great horns, and this driving beat, group vocals and lovely interplay between them, tempo changes, and it just sounds great. Starting of slow guitar shimmer, beat, and then a horn-y samba beat, percussive attack, nice guitar work, more tempo changes, and more which just makes you want to yell "Banna Ba Modimo," which ends on a great instrumental note the last half minute. I am currently on "Standby," as I listen to the slow crashes of the cymbals/light pounding of the drums and strumming , but once it's been three minutes they decide to make a change and return to the same pace as before at 3:54. How they can get home exactly at 3:54 instead of 3:54:02, I have no idea. "Lakeside" is nice for drums that like to play the high hat and surrounding fist-pounds and then go through a swag-rock groove solo at the last minute, instead of planning ahead. Hey sometimes the best plans can be made at last minute, but only some of them. I have nevver been too interested in "Taxidermy," nor in killing animals, people,or anything else for no reason, or at all, i mean seriously if it can be avoided avoid it, but this song has a nice percussive attack and reggae-stomp that make it so inviting to give it a chance. I'll listen to the song, but me alone for the practice. "Kwa Nqingtje" clocks in at 7:58, and gives the man 2 extra minutes of their own time, what nice guys! I do like hearing horns in music, and most of the time they just make it sound better. Ever felt like you were just lazy bones? a "Skeleton" of what you once were, a shell of...I think I meant to say..."Cursor" has this nice acoustic guitar, horns and beat which ha one hovering in mid-air, dancing? Those vocals sound good, and on top of that at 2:45 the song puts up a wall of sound for safety reasons and then blasts it open thirty seconds before the song ends with this hammer-pound. What was the point of the wall? "Tselane" is the final track which has bells, light strumming on acoustic, with heartfelt delivery, and xylophone or toy piano? If I Could Only Choose The7Best Tracks to place in a Time Capsule "After Robots" I Would Choose: Molalatdi, Banna ba Modino, Lakeside,Taxidermy, Kwa Nqingtje, Skeleton, and Cursor.
