Most flies just want to eat crud, or be a spy on the wall, while this "Little Fly" ponders what does it all mean, why eat when I'm going to die, and die so soon? A great start for the record, but if this fly had all of the "Knowledge of Good and Evil" he would be amongst a slow brewer of a track, but a great one with plenty of suspense building violin that sometimes run against the current of the drumbeat, or vice versa, or even go along with it. Now, we sail on a leaf, as the river starts to slow down a little bit. He may be "Really Very Small," but he is a very persistant one. This has some great tempo changes, choppy water, piano, current conducing drums, and the lovely voice of Spalding. Everyone, it's great to have you here tonight, but to make the best of this I need your attention and participation; we now dance...the "Chacarera." Sometimes the music can just move you, but for those who would like some guidance suggest you look it up on a certain dictionary on your portable do everything machines. Ye---Where'd that fly go to? Oh, piano is first, and violin would you like to be partners? Drums....mediate; as little as possible. "Wild is the Wind," and deadly is the tornado...earthquake, tsunami, and too many other things to mention. What a great song, especially playing that huge bass, along with the raindrops of drum pitter, and the violins pulling the leaf from the branch as it is swept away in the love. However, you can hear those bass steps as the leaf spins around, sometimes too quick for the fly who hears a lovely duet between Esperanza Spalding and Milton Nascimento, but does not realize the beauty of what he hears until he has regained homeostasis under the "Apple Blossom." The focus is on the vocals, which would not need any accompaniment, but sounds great with that of the strings, and subtle piano. "As A Sprout" it is easy to feel left out as the elder siblings galavant around leaving the youngest one out. "What a Friend" she is to leave this great song as the "Winter Sun" has us dancing the moonwalk, or softshoe, gliding acoss the floor as the bass moves the floor, and the drums synchronize color changes. The piano feels left out, so grab my hand and we'll dance, spin you around, and move those feet to swinging rythm. "Inutil Paisegem" starts with some humming, but does not have bass until about two minutes after the song starts and just passes by time, I couldn't believe the song was over before I had a handle on it, and "Short but Sweet" is not that short at 5:53, but is sweet on the piano, and may also have a slight crush on upright bass. The members I would promote most from this society would be these tracks: Little Fly, Knowledge of Good and Evil, Really Very Small, Chacacera, Wild is the Wind, Apple Blossom, and What a Friend.
