Slash "Slash"

Originally supposed to be called "Slash & Friends," they decided to change it to simply "Slash," even though there are guests on every song from all different genres and backgrounds covering different moods and emotions. "Ghost" is a killer song to start the record with an awesome guitar lick and beat featuring the great vocals of Ian Astbury from The Cult. This poltergeist seems as nice and cool as Casper. Ozzy wants to assist Slash and "Crucify The Dead" with its metallic tinge, and bluesy tone, great solo, and the vocals of Ozzy sound perfect for a song such as this. Oh,No! Fergie is wearing short shorts, a bra, and feeling "Beautiful Dangerous" with a song that makes you want to dance as she delivers her vocals in a rap-like style, and the beat follows suit. Myles Kennedy is coming "Back From Cali" as he describes it's bad rep and it as "the angel city where the devils play." I love the next song's riff, which also features Chris Cornell asking to "Promise" to stay with him. Some live "By The Sword," some live by the pen, but now most probably live by the I-Pad (or keyboard) which feature vocals by Wolfmother's Andrew Stockdale. "Gotten" your attentionon? Adam Levine of Maroon 5 sings a sentimental song of love and Slash plays those six strings nicely. Okay, enough of the cutesy cr*p! Let's go to "Doctor Alibi" to find out what the flip is wrong with us. Did you know he has these awesome gravely vocals contributred by Lemmy Kilmeister of Motorhead and plays a great quick paced solo?  I didn't know the Doctor played instruments. "Watch This" everybody, Duff Mckagan and Dave Grohl are going to try to out play Slash in this great instrumental. "I Hold On" to many things, but Kid Rock holds on because if he lets go he would be unprotected from those silent screams. I think I'm running into the ground with "Nothing To Say," with it's metallic groove and great vocals from M Shadows of A7X as he addresses those who hate just to hate, and say things to hear themselves speak, but have..I know if I said that it would be predictable. Great Solo! Myles Kennedy returns, but from the "Starlight" this time. With heartfelt vocals and low key guitar, it places the vocals in front. "Saint is a Sinner Too" has a great latin flavored guitarwork, with a good message that not everyone is perfect, and everyone makes mistakes; also features Rocco DeLuca. The final song has a great message even if part of it is negative, that "We're All Gonna Die." Because of that he says we should all be nice to each other and get along because life is too short to focus on the negative; and maybe get high and pee on the ground. This is a fun song to listen to that has you ready to dance. IFIHad ToChoose  7TracksTheyWouldBe: Ghost, Crucify The Dead, Promise, Doctor Alibi,Watch This, Nothing To Say, and We're All Gonna Die.
