The Dead Weather "Horehound"

You would think Jack White has spread himself so thin with all of these projects that he works on, but you'd be wrong. The debut album from this band starts "60 Feet Tall" starts with White on drums who wants to "Hang You From The Heavens" with a rough around the edges sentiments and grungy guitar as either vocalist, Jack White and Alison Mossheart, do not know how to exactly express their love. The awesome Reggae-tinged, vaudvillian organ, and percussive "I Cut like A Buffalo" might have you chokin' after you see this woman who cuts like a...Enough of that, in a duel it is not safe to be "So Far From Your Weapon" which is a slow quiet number, but one that reveals a relationship driving one to murder. Often times, female spouses would like to say "Treat Me Like Your Mother," unless that includes duking it out, but the lyrics are being relayed by Mossheart who demands to be treated much better because she is just like his mother, and the eyes cannot lie when looking at her face, so stop trying to hide from the disgrace (of a "man"). "Rocking Horse" has us rocking with that rockin' beat and echo/dstiorted guitars and vocals back and forth until that garbled scream screeches with anguish. They got a "New Pony," and it has Mossheart climbing on top of the pony, "They say you're usin' voodoo, I seen your feet walk by themselves/Oh, baby, that god you been prayin' to/Is gonna give ya back what you're wishin' on someone else." How Much? They built a "Bone House" with this tambo-lead beat with grunge-funk, angry sentiments because of the lack of appeciation, and a little digital loop at the end. "3 Birds" flew over Miami, but had no song to sing. They flew until Tired, and one had broken his wing, this distortion leads the beat to catch it, and then a little keyboard, change of tempo, and funky beat; all that to catch a bird with a broken wing? "No Hassle Night" has Jack release some fury on the drums at the beginning and then continues with a great goove "Will There be Enough Water?" if I just say that the song has this beat and piano and asks if it is a sin to be caught (in this love)? 7 Songs: 60 Feet Tall, Hang You From The Heavens, I Cut Like A Buffalo, So Far From Your Weapon, Treat Me Like Your Mother, Rocking Horse, Bone House, and 3 Birds.
