Cascada "Original Me"
Tik Tok, check the clock, time to wake up in "San Francisco," sounds a little similar to california gurls too, but I still like the song though. Amidst all the shimmer, the swagger, the vocoder, and maybe Michael Jackson melodies cause me to say "so you think you're something special oh-oh-oh," and maybe say "Au Revoir," but still I'm here and will probably listen to the song again. Let's talk about the controversial subject of unrequited love, or maybe its side effects which are much more controversial, or just unsettling. First, If It's hard to talk someone and you want to see that person more there will probably be a higher chance one may become a "Stalker." Then there is the whole obsession factor which either builds from or causes the latter. The arrangement of this song starts an addictive piano arpeggio with some d-machine beats, and then turns up the energy during the chorus; it seems that with each verse the energy picks up a little more. Should she be able to keep her job? I mean she seems pretty irresponsible to be able to party with T-Pain, get freaky with beats you may go GaGa for, and the music is up so loud that it would be near impossible to know if a patient was having a stroke (which is really not funny); thank gosh that they have more than one "Night Nurse" at this hospital. I didn't know Timbo suffered from "Pyromania," well sh** this song is HOT!!! Should I critique or just dance to a song like this? I think it would just be better to leave what I have about this next song (featuring Carlprit) "Unspoken" and you can decide for yourself. The lyrics in this next song seem to focus on the physical aspect of a relationship, and loving the other for just their looks and what they can do. An ode to being fake and not even bothering to give someone your all because they don't want to take the time to get to know the other besides measurements.I heard her personality is cardboard but "listen, a boob job completes it." To know the "Original Me," why don't you try to get to know me before you assume you know what I'm about? The first line says it all, or says enough, what we have is a "Sinner on the Dancefloor." I'll forgive her for using the vocal motifs in the chorus and toward the end, and it sounds so dirty but it's clean (kinda). I'm not the "Enemy" here, ok? Some critics can be negative as f--- and not bother focusing on any of the positives, but I always do despite if I am a fan of the artist or not; I try to be as neutral as possible. This track really showcases her vocals and their penchant for songs made for slow-dancing. Another song about being "Hungover" on love of their significant other, or current boyfriend/girlfriend. The beat sounds similiar to one of my favorite songs about that subject (same title), but then I think that's where the similarities end; I appreciate them both for what they are. Carlprit returns in time for "Independence Day," as he prepares for his solo career and she breaks off from her "fair" toad who had set her fairy tale on fire and caused love to run for cover, so it would be more than ash after the incident.A lot of great verses work well with this epic, but not bombastic, arrangement. I must say that I was pleasently surprised, and did not expect too much from this record, but there were a lot of great tracks, so check it out.
