Boris regaining attention

The majority of the time in the “Tokyo Wonder Land” is spent appreciating what you hear, yet not completely understanding what or how you feel; as you may feel several emotions on this journey. “You” cannot help but feel as if you are traveling through space, or coming in contact with visitors from another world throughout this song. “Aileron” is a needed break from all of that space travel ; a laid-back guitar-strummed tender instrumental. This “Les Paul Custom ‘86” must be something for a tribute to be made like this; it shows more creativity in this song than the majority of other band’s songs that are twice or even three times as long. This next song also has a lot of percussive energy, but instead of being caught up in poppy hooks they use their trademark sleep- inducing vocals, a good riff that avoids mainstream appeal, and keeping that guitar in back until the final twenty seconds; enough to “Spoon?” It’s been said that good music and good writing go “Hand in Hand,” and this album is a perfect example, while the song is a passable example.
