Sean Paul "Tomahawk Technique"

I was not really expecting much from his new record because to me it seemed like his style became worn-down and old, and The Imperial Blaze seemed to fizzle. I did like his music, but was not a fan, per se. But this record is a different affair, and I think it is more than just the fact that Paul has a new hairstyle, but that he uses a Tomahawk Technique to make sure it does some damage and kickstarts the production of dopamine. The first single? “Got 2 Luv U!” There is something about the first single that grows on you, and Alexis Jordan singing in the song does not hurt at all.  Apparently “She Doesn’t Mind,” and neither do I . The vocal performance and those notes Paul hits are spectac; as well as the whole production! Even a song like this, which is not my favorite, has my “Body” ready to move. Usher joins Sean Paul in a song that can track a slowdance, yet still has a high amount of energy (positive, of course) that “Won’t Stop (Turn Me Out).” This next song is one of the first to feature Sean Paul singing about a “Dream Girl.” Imagine that, a song inspired by a girl; seriously though, this is a good song that some just can’t get enough of.                                  An anthem for those with a dream, and when it looks bleak, Paul urges you to “Hold On.” There are so many reasons why it is one of his best singles, but it’s too bad that it didn’t fare well on the charts. I think of another artist named Sean when I listen to this next track that me love a good amount, but I still don’t want to “Put It On You.” The duet with Kelly Rowland asks “How Deep Is Your Love,” but I ask why was it not played on the radio? It was a single. The song tries to “Touch The Sky,” but I am guessing it would just be easier if it made contact with the dance floor because that seems to be this track’s calling. Favorites: Got 2 Luv U, She Doesn’t Mind, Dream Girl, Hold On, How Deep is Your Love, and Touch The Sky.
