Anberlin "Dark is the Way, Light is the Place"

Dark is The Way, Light is A Place and Hope is the Horse (on the cover of the album) that surely hits the ground running with prominent percussion found in songs such as songs like Sugar Pie Honey Bunch, or Pills, Demons, Etc. by The Temptations and Velvet Revolver respectively. Who can forget that groove, either? “We Owe This To Ourselves” to listen to the first two songs, which set my expectations high. You know how when you’re at a certain speed everything sort of seems to slow down? Well, that I exactly what happens in the breakdown, Darn Diversity! If you see something, say something! What? “Impossible!” You didn’t see the hook get caught in this alluring temper trap, or tender trap, that sounds like a banjo in a different context? “Take Me (As You Found Me)” sounds like it could be mistaken for an update of a classic by an aerial form of transportation, or at least the chorus can. Just by the sound you can tell the horse is not dead, a little out of breath, but bursts of atmospherical wonder substitute the ATP needed to finish the last leg as “Closer” is the finish line; clashing sounds of Linkin Park and Red roar like thunder and flash like lightning.  “You Belong Here” is best described by saying it is perfect when you have no words that can illustrate how much someone means to you, even if they break your heart, “But, a heart that's not worth breaking isn't worth much, not at all.” Biting the hand that feeds is risky business, and for what does that do? “Pray Tell.” In the “Art Of War” there are traces of Coldplay, as well as Thrice, who serve as the cadence (close enough) to lull the listener to a false sense of security. May Hope keep watch, but there is only so much a horse can do as one is thrown “To The Wolves.” May that be me for mentioning Trapt and Anberlin in the same sentence. It’s not like I was covering up anything, or betraying your trust like this selfish antagonist in the song. Run, Hope, Run! I’m not worth it. In the last moments of my life I can see someone smashing pumpkins as they strum la guitarra. I may be near death, but not out. Why didn’t I ask the d*** horse to get help?! I’m not the only one either, as the girl in the next song caught  Stephen Christian on the way “Down.” “Are you ashamed, that you were deceived?” or maybe it was not realized until it was too late that you were “Depraved.” Enough to shun the comparison between them and Alexisonfire? Maybe that was why the horse was running.
