Breathe Carolina "Hell is What You Make It"
The opening track is a "Rebirth: An Introduction" to the band in their next state. It starts as if you are just hanging out with friends, and then you fall asleep because you were worn out from too much fun. But shortly into the next song you are thrown into a nightmare as the demon you cannot see screams "What's up?" The next track is not just a electro-funk track for the dance floor, but the duo's most commercially successful single; a blend of auto-tune and their acceptable vocals (they do have nice voices), and a song that can track that party that will last until you "Blackout." The next song and its arrangement may be somewhere "On the Edge of Heaven," what with its dreamy piano arpeggios and such, but there is that demon making sure that he never makes it inside those pearly gates; even the skittery, skrillex-esque, scream-induced breakdown cannot bring the boys down to the fiery pits. I must say that the party "Last Night (Vegas)" was the prolouge to what is supposed to occur tonight? Dancy Reg-tronica? This bass in his chest that keeps on bumping; must be from this (which would be a fantastic song to listen to as you) workout that they are taking a part in. This song itself is some cardio not only because you try to escape the sadistic trainer, but also trying to move through those twists and turns; since we are in hell, it is easy to "Sweat It Out." The vocals in this next song are not only tragic, as they try to express the feelings of sorrow without and elation with, but also succeed; not only that, but they almost sift their sound through a U2 filter. "They Say You Won't Come Back" if you get caught by this hook. They tell you not to play by the water, but the electro funk of the first forty five seconds is dressed with one of my favorite foods, and once I'm caught I'm being pulled by undulating synths, ripples created by the drum machine, and the harmonies. I'm not gonna "Get Off Easy" to describe this song, but it seems that we are in the residence of a murderess. Beauty can hide more than most will want to believe, but we want to believe someone is as beautiful on the inside as they are on the outside because then that would be the perfect sitch...right? You can put me on the cross for this comparison but this song reminds me of a song by the Used; I like the xylo though. I'm "Waiting'" for their next single, and it sounds as if this would be a fantastic follow-up (like sequel) and single (but like sequels, they are sometimes not good as the original; this one is, but is filled with some more distortion and a little screaming). "She was made for lust/Anymore than that would be so dangerous," so I guess it would be best to keep his heart (oh wait, doesn't he have a hole where it used to be?). Maybe he can at least try to grow a new one with someone else. Is it more than just another night, or should I just "Take it Back" to another chorus? The bridge seems as if it is somewhere between the clouds. It may even be the same girl in the previous song, but any toxic relationships are best when they are nowhere near you. Maybe the pheromones that this girl is producing may also be the same "Chemicals" that produce dopamine because I am pretty pleased by these songs.Would you be able to credit one's pheromones for producing great tracks (indirectly)? Interesting concept, ok, kinda silly. "NO, you're just stupid!" OK. ''Lauren's Song" seems to be devoid of the electronic element and goes for the straight shot of what may be called emo/hardcore; for some reason when I hear this song I think of Hawthorne Heights. Favorites: Wooly, Edge of Heaven, Vegas (Last Night), Sweat It Out,They Say You Won't Come Back, Take It Back, and Lauren's Song.
