A short blurb of a record from a career in music I didn't know existed; belated in release. Here is what was written
From the album cover and title alone, it may lead you to believe that it belongs in the 99-cent bin at the music store, and it probably would not help if I mentioned that Fred Durst makes an appearance, but that song is quite good I debated whether I should continue before the first disc had completed, then took a break and listened to the rest anyways. A comparison I can make is what the sixties television show was to the Batman, is what this album is to rock music, especially on the first half of the album. There were even sound bytes that could have been heard on the afore mentioned and "Charlie's Angels," which are nearly non-existent on the second half until the denouement.
It has classic rock elements, but the strains of nu-metal and nu-funk are hard to ignore. You can even call it a time capsule that harbors some of the best and worst aspects of the genre and that era; some may say error.
