Pitbull "Planet Pit"
I was traveling in my hypothetical, experimental, metaphorical ship that somehow heard this boomin' bass and sound made for stadium dancing space by a guy that sounded like an introduction to "Mr Worldwide." "How was that possible? So I went and followed the sound, I don't know how, until my power shorted as I entered the gravitational force, and my spaceship started to descend. "FUUUUUUUUUUUUUdgeballs!!" I shouted as I crash-landed on Planet Pit. "I heard this tune before" I thought; in fact it was one of my favorites of the 2011 summer season. Piano started, and I heard Ne-Yo sing the first few lines of what will be the chorus and then the hi-hat action. He managed to launch a huge party in space! Well done, and I'm sure there will be not only traditional supermodels, but intergalactic supermodels as well. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, so this should be AWESOME. Yeah, Ne-Yo "Give Me Everything" Tonight!!! So far, the party is great and now he had rangled in Marc Anthony for a very hooky and dance-friendly party song that might as well "Rain Over Me" in dance-hall confetti. If that wasn't enough, Mr. Tallahassee Pain entered the party from the ceiling on his intergalactic hover pad; which is accompanied by synchronized lights. Everybody is going crazy: mashing, break-dancing, fist-pumping and making out (you know the usual) mixed with some intergalactic flair; if you know what I mean. I wonder what this infatuating, intergalactic beauty would say if I said "Hey Baby (Drop It To The Floor)" At least I think she's female. Maybe I will just take a break and think this through before I make an attempt; heck, she can end up spitting acid in my face. I decide to go get a drink(non-alcoholic) because I want to make sure I stay hydrated, and this song is a good one to hit "Pause" on the dance-machine. The song could be danced to, but it's not my cup of tea; I do like the bongos towards the end and the start and stop style arrangement, but it's not the type of dancing my feet are made for. The next song may "Come N Go" before you realize it, but instead of making the good girls go bad, they make them sing in an operatic style made for the club. We have an alien singing the hooky chorus in autotune, and this other one claps the beat with his twelve..should we even call them hands? I'm not even sure what gender..if any..this one is. Heck, I cannot even get a date with girls of my own species how he heck am I gonna have any more luck with an extraterrestrial? What do you get when you mix T-Pain ( and his autotune), Sean Paul, Harry Belafonte's Shake the Line (Shake Senora), and modern production values? A fun update of that calypso classic that has real cheesy line that says "My girl got a big ol' booty/Your girl got little ol' booty," but other than that... GREAT! I have to say that many people may feel "International Love" for this single; I feel this track is ok, but was just phoned in by C Breezy and Mr. Worldwide, and maybe shouldn't have been one. Everybody was dancing and I was sulking because I think both artists were better than that track. All of the sudden I heard this bopping rhythym with attitude and beautiful backing vocals by Kelly Rowland while Pitbull delivers the verses with conviction and Jamie Drastik appears out of a "Castle Made of Sand." At first I thought Timbo, or will.i.am, had entered the party, but it was for naught. Then I realized Redfoo from a group that makes me LMFAO (all in fun) was present, and now I cannot help but see all the party goers trying out a new synchronized twerk routine in this track. I can say that the last track "Took My Love," but this one isn't bad either. What time is it? The party is winding down? I think I'm getting bored, and Jamie Foxx has the same thing on his mind as he sings the chorus. "Where Do We Go?" Not only can this next track be "Something for the DJs," but it could be something for the kidz (bop) with a slight alteration. My favorite part would be the horn-y tension as he sings "If you are sexy and you know it, clap your hands." Like I said with slight alteration it could fit on that franchise, and it is a fun song too. The last song had me decide to stay for the encore of this party; if a party lasts longer than intended can you call it an encore? It's a good idea that I had stayed to listen to a magnificent collab with Akon; this should have been on the regular version and a single. Some girls tried to hook up with me..I must be dreaming, or maybe it was that concussion; sorry girls, I might be Mr. Right, but I'm definitely not "Mr. Right Now." They remix that song that has senora shake with Ludacris; "Oye Baby" the remix wasn't that bad, but what was the point? Just one more song? OK..and guess what? Not only did I have a pretty good time on this planet, better than expected for the most part, but I had also met "My Kinda Girl" here too. The piano-led hook had put me to sleep and I must have been dreaming because I had waken up in my bed.; figures...how would I get that lucky on the first shot in anywhere else but my dreams?
