Lykke Li "Wounded Rhymes"

"Youth Knows No Pain" as I have heard, or maybe it is just that the pain is felt, but it takes a lot more to hinder our drive, but then of course we have those buried in it to the point they become numb. Think Santigold with a surfing circus! You can make something out of nothing, it has been done, but I'm not sure if it would be best to make "Love Out Of Lust." Sure you can make a potion to cure 'Unrequited Love,' but unless you are ready to drown in denial then I suggest you avoid alchemy. All of the ingredients (musically and even lyrically; she says more qualitatively than quantitatively) are perfect to perpetuate the sorrow and pain that often accompany that type of love. I would love to "Get Some" more of that energy that she generates in this song, and if I had to equate her musical vivacity with her... ugh.. never mind. The title may be suggestive, but the lyrics are probably what you would expect, and that's okay. "Like a shotgun needs an outcome." Cum on! Do I really need to continue? I know...blech! It might not be so specific to rid the "Rich Kid's Blues," but it might work on the general blues. I don't know if people would agree that 'Sadness is a Blessing,' but when it hurts more to be alone, in desperation that pain may become the significant other, and when she sings "Every night I rant, I plead, I beg him not to go/Will sorrow be the only lover I can call my own?" you cannot help taking cover (with some tissues handy..trite, right?) "I Know Places" where songs like this can go far, especially the airy instrumentals in the final minute-thirty.There is not a lot going on in the first three-quarters we'll say, but what is going on is (add complimentary adjective here). This beat has me far from drawn aback, but on her ceiling is the name of her lover, on her wall she screams his name, please say you'll never leave home for you have returned dear "Jerome." I wonder if it was he who had wrought these wounded rhymes upon me, the pain, the sorrow, slight eccentricity; worth a listen, go and see. I know this is Laaaame, but that is me. You can "Silent My Song," but  it will still resonate, and still exist whether you sing along. There are two things I am not sure: whether you would want to silent or sing , or if it is a happy song. Love does not exist without pain, especially that which is unrequited. My favorites: Youth Knows No Pain,Unrequited Love, Get Some, Rich Kid's Blues, Jerome and I Know Places.
